The number one best way to stay organized in school is by using a planner. It can be difficult to keep track of all the homework assignments, tests, and quizzes you are assigned. That is why a planner is so useful, so you can keep track of what is due and when.

2) Find a Study Area or Areas
Having a place to study is very important. It is also is important that it is somewhere quiet and where you can focus. Some great places are the library, coffee shops, or even parks. You can even switch it up between all three so you can get a change of scenery.

3)  Look Over Your Notes Each Night
To make sure you understand and really know the material you are learning in classes, a great tip is to read over your notes you took. It will even help you when it is time for the test because you will help prepare you by already knowing most of the material and then you will not have to study as much.

4) Make a Friend in Every Class
There is nothing worse than being stuck on a homework problem and not knowing what to do. That is why it is really helpful and nice to have a friend in every class you are in so you can ask them for help. They are also helpful if you missed a class and need help catching up or if you are in need of a study partner.

5) Review Test Taking Strategies
Most everyone feels stress before a test and often experiences test anxiety during the test. There are some strategies that help overcome and manage the stress and anxiety of taking tests though. Some of the best tips are to make sure you are on time, read through the directions carefully and slowly, and pace yourself because it is not a race. It is also a good idea to skip around the test to complete the sections you may know better than others first.

6) Practice Active Listening
It is important for students to avoid distractions and stay focused on what the teacher is saying. A great tip is to try active listening by concentrating on what the teacher is saying and whenever you think they say something important, write it down in your notes. Writing it down will help keep it in your memory and you will also have it later to review.
