ESA+ Scholarships

Swan Learning Center is proud to be an approved provider for the North Carolina Education Student Accounts (ESA+) Scholarship. This wonderful state-funded program offers valuable financial support to families of students with disabilities, so they can access the top-quality educational services their children need to thrive and succeed.

The ESA+ Scholarship aims to assist K–12 students with documented disabilities who are eligible for special education services. Qualified families may receive annual scholarship awards of $9,000, with certain students qualifying for up to $17,000 per year, contingent upon the nature of their disability.

These funds can help cover various educational expenses, including private school tuition, therapies, tutoring, diagnostic assessments, and educational technology.

Our Programs

Our programs closely align with the allowable services under ESA+, including one-on-one academic tutoring, executive function coaching, Orton-Gillingham reading instruction for students with dyslexia, math support, writing development, and early childhood readiness assessments such as the Gesell Preschool Developmental Assessment.

We also provide support for older students through SAT preparation, study skills training, and coaching tailored to the demands of middle and high school academics.

We work hand-in-hand with families to help you understand how to use your scholarship, identify which services qualify for reimbursement, and assist with ClassWallet, the ESA+ platform used to manage scholarship funds.

If your child has an eligibility determination from a North Carolina public school and requires special education or related services, you may qualify for ESA+. Applications typically open each February, and awards are announced in the spring for the upcoming school year. Families have the flexibility to choose from private schools, home schools, or a combination of educational settings.
