Swan Learning Center provides tutoring and academic support for K–12 students at our learning center in Cotswold, Charlotte.
Families come to Swan with different questions. Why has reading become so difficult? Where is my child getting stuck in math? Why does homework take hours even when they understand the material? How can my high school student manage several demanding classes at once?
Swan offers reading, writing and math tutoring, academic coaching, study-skills support, test preparation, educational assessments, and specialized reading programs. The goal is to understand the difficulty the student is experiencing and help the family consider an appropriate next step.
Meet Jenny Beaumont, Owner of Swan Learning Center
Jenny Beaumont started Swan after local Charlotte families began approaching her for tutoring and educational enrichment for their children. Those early conversations helped shape Swan into a place where parents could discuss academic concerns and explore individualized support.
Jenny’s educational background includes a BA in English and Business and a master’s degree in Religious Studies. At Swan, she works with families to discuss their concerns, review assessment findings when applicable, and consider the support recommended for their child.
For parents who aren’t sure where to begin, that conversation can help turn a broad concern—“reading is getting harder,” “math homework takes forever,” or “my child can’t stay organized”—into clearer questions about the support available.

Swan Learning Center became reality when director Jenny Beaumont realized the need for this type of help for local children and their families. As more families approached Jenny for help with tutoring, she saw a need for enrichment programs and supplemental opportunities for ages as young as preschool through high school and college level curriculums.
Swan Learning Center was born out of a desire to help children of all ability levels who needed this educational enrichment.

Each student who comes to Swan Learning Center begins with a diagnostic test. This identifies areas where they need more help, and allows us to create a personal learning program to fill in those gaps. Parents consult with Jenny once we have test results in order to create a personalized program to meet each student’s needs. We do not require a contract but can offer realistic timeframes to meet goals.
