Study Skills – All Levels

Being a good student can be learned. Our study skills program teaches the tools of the student trade: outlining, time management, note taking, composition, prioritizing, skimming and scanning. We focus on strategies for test taking, memorizing, note taking, reading textbooks, understanding literature, and general studying. Tracking assignments, tests and projects helps students transfer what is learned at Swan into the classroom.

The core teaching of study skills revolves around learning to manage your education. Students learn skills to manage

College preparatory students can incorporate the WRITE program into their study skills line-up. Learn how to write a content rich and solidly organized paper. The skills you learn will help you transition into the more demanding writing required in college.
